Durham Tech adjunct instructor decorates White House

A Durham Tech adjunct instructor in Continuing Education was one of about 100 decorators chosen from across the country to bring the holiday season to the White House this year.

Carnella Renee Hill, who teaches interior design at the college, was featured on several local television reports after she was invited just before Thanksgiving to decorate 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Decorators from 35 states were chosen based on applications that were submitted in July. The East Room and the State Dining Room were among the areas Hill was tasked with decorating.
