Phi Theta Kappa celebrates new members

The Durham Tech chapter of Phi Theta Kappa celebrated new members at their Fall 2016 induction ceremony on October 6.

Inductees and guests were warmly welcomed by Dr. Ingram and were inspired to service by Jes Dormady, Coordinator of Volunteer Services in the college’s Center for College and Community Service.

Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society recognizing academic achievement among two-year college students. It provides opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming. The organization also provides access to many scholarship opportunities. To be inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, students must be enrolled in a degree program and have a minimum 3.5 GPA with at least 18 hours of credits. Eligible students are emailed an invitation at the beginning of the semester.
